What ISPM 15 Requires
Under ISPM 15, wood packaging has to be heated until the core of the wood reaches 56°C (132.8°F) and holds there for at least 30 minutes. Surface heat is not enough, which is why treatment happens in monitored chambers rather than an open kiln or hot-air pass. Treated material then carries the IPPC mark, commonly called the HT stamp, showing the country code, facility code, and the HT treatment code. Customs teams rely on that stamp because they cannot trace the history of every board.
